    Stephen Baron has been performing piano music shows for many years in an attempt to bring Classical music closer to young children. Using drama, dance, costumes, percussion and storytelling, the music is brought to life and children feel included in the performance.

    Babar the Elephant was written by the French composer Francis Poulenc in 1940. The music, by turns, witty, expressive and light, follows the pictures in the book 'The Story of Babar.' The story tells of an elephant who runs away from the forest, settles in a town, is befriended by an old lady, but in spite of a lavish lifestyle, decides to return to the forest where he is crowned king (and Celeste, his cousin) queen.
