Description

With 1-2-1 portfolio reviews and a talk on how to break into design, this is an incredible opportunity for young creative emerging talent and students looking for free insider insight from some of the most inspiring names in the industry. Come along, ask questions and be inspired. All entry is free with spaces for 60 people.

This talk and workshop form part of part of British Land's calendar of events for London Design Festival.

Our experts - 

Alex Brownless: Alex is the co-founder of Arts Thread. Alex graduated with a BA Hons in Textile Design in the early 1990's and has a rather diverse career, designing for such companies as Banana Republic, Gap, M&S etc. He headed up the successful rave label NASA, was the E- Business Manager of WGSN, has consulted for fashion/textile manufacturers in China, India, Turkey & Puerto Rico supplying many retailers & brands worldwide. He also headed up the International fashion division at the world's largest creative recruitment consultancy Aquent. He is currently consulting for Ascential owners of WGSN, Cannes Lions, EMAP, Coloro and many more..

Katie Dominy: Katie is is the co-founder of Arts Thread. Alongside Arts Thread, Katie is also currently a researcher for Comme des Garçons, Future Concept Lab Milan and previous positions include Senior Trend Editor at WGSN.

Philip Dolman:
dolman-bowles is a London based creative interior and spatial design consultancy with a pedigree in branded, leisure and experiential environments. Founded in 2014 by Philip Dolman to build on 30 years experience delivering innovative, effective and commercially successful design.

Raphael Lee: Chartered Architect and founder of AURAA STUDIO based in Camden Town, Raphael Lee is Design Fellow at the University of Cambridge School of Architecture with some 20 years experience teaching RIBA 1&2 Architecture at university level as lecturer and programme leader.

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

    The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

    The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.   • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

    If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

    Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event.
