Born in Nottingham, Andy McLeish began his career in a small restaurant in Bray. Wanting to get a taste for the London culinary scene, he joined legendary chef Nico Ladenis at Simply Nico before transferring to the fine dining restaurant, Chez Nico as Chef de Partie. 1993 saw McLeish move to iconic Hotel The Ritz as a Sous Chef before transferring to the Mandarin Oriental Baan Taling Ngam on the Thai island of Koh Samui as Senior Sous Chef.

On returning to London, McLeish became the Head Chef at The Dining Room in the Landmark Hotel, where he gained three rosettes in his first year. Shortly after, he was head hunted to become the Executive Chef / Director at Chapter One in Kent and launched it's sister restaurant, Chapters, in London's trendy Blackheath Village in 2009. Since his arrival, the restaurant has gone from strength to strength winning a number of awards. It's seasonal menus, which are teamed with its fine-dining experience are highly acclaimed and reflect its Executive Chef’s culinary creativity and exquisite technique.
