    Description

The Spiritual Healing Temple is exciting to welcome guest host Clair Dean, a trained Holistic therapist to guide us through the practice of Ayurveda and using Nature’s Pantry.

Ayurveda in Sanskrit means “the science of life” and originated in India 5000 years ago.

It places emphasis on the prevention and maintenance of health through diet, lifestyle and herbs. Through conscious everyday activities or “Sadhanas” they help us to realign ourselves with natures cycles and in turn help us to sustain our own health.

Join Clair for a short introductory journey, where we will look at the body doshas, how to create a space for healing in the home and how to prepare the kitchen, the heart of the home for cooking, where we use wholesome seasonal produce and understand mindful eating.

We will practice the beautiful sadhana of ghee making which the Vedic monks would use to practice meditation to awaken the true self, and sample a soothing and replenishing Shatavari Rose Latte which is perfect after a hot summer.

Finally we will delve into Nature’s great pantry and make a soothing lotion bar from oil infused with either dandelions, sunflowers or calendula to nourish and heal the skin along with lemon verbena and chocolate mint or lavender and sage foot scrubs.

    About Clair:
