Phil “The Power” Taylor is acknowledged as the greatest darts player of all time and we are thrilled to host a very special evening in his company at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.
This incredible night of entertainment offers a rare insight into the world of a global superstar – together with an opportunity to meet the man whose unrivalled track record will not be beaten and may never be matched.
Phil Taylor’s astonishing achievements include: 16 times WORLD CHAMPION, 15 times WORLD MATCHPLAY CHAMPION, 6 times PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPION and 11 times WORLD GRAND PRIX CHAMPION.
During his career Taylor won more than 100 tournaments around the world – more than any other player in the history of the game.
As he set about building his astonishing catalogue of titles, “The Power” notched up ten perfect televised legs including two nine-dart finishes in a single Premier League contest.
In one match against Kevin Painter in 2010 Taylor scored an average of 118.66 – the highest ever recorded.
On this incredible September night you will hear Phil Taylor talk about his life and accomplishments. Amongst other things he will tell of the highs of his illustrious career and the turbulent period – when darts lost TV coverage and Phil’s own future hung in the balance.
It’s twenty two years since Phil helped spearhead the creation of the PDC in a move which transformed the fortunes of darts into the global success story it is today. Talking about his life with the peerless John McDonald from Matchroom, Phil will tell how this remarkable odyssey began and the insatiable appetite for success that still drives him forward in search of more titles.
After the interview The Power will answer questions from the audience, so if there is something you want to know about Phil, you only need to raise your arm for a chance to ask him in person.
Two time world champion Dennis “The Menace” Priestley began his professional career when he was almost 40 yrs old, He is now one of Taylor’s closest allies but back in the day was his deadliest opponent at the oche.
MJK Sports Events is also delighted welcome this former coal merchant who will pit himself against selected guests before we crank up “The Power” for the main event .
