Peter Lamont has a global reputation as one of the film industry’s leading production designers.
He began his career as a draughtsman in the 1940s, and by the 1960s was working on some of the biggest films produced in British studios. He worked on 18 James Bond movies, beginning with the 1960s classics starring Sean Connery and George Lazenby. From the 1980s onwards he was the production designer of the films starring Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
He was Oscar-nominated for Fiddler on the Roof (1971), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Aliens (1986) before winning for his outstanding contribution to Titanic (1997).
During this special event Peter will discuss his career with Marcus Hearn and sign copies of his new memoir The Man With the Golden Eye.
Doors open at 19.00, for a 19.30 start.
