Paul Merson (aka “Merse”), is the former England, Arsenal and Aston Villa footballer, turned manager and now extremely famous football television pundit.

Merse was a very talented footballer with a 20 year career starting from the mid 1980s. Merse has appeared on more than his fair share of front and back pages of newspapers due to his breathtaking skills and larger-than-life off-field persona.

Merse has been addicted to booze and gambling, and to cocaine for 10 months. He often went straight to training having been up all night bingeing, and confesses to "spunking £7 million at the bookies”. Merse’s autobiography includes a list of “Do Nots” which include:

·DO NOT adopt 'Champagne' Charlie Nicholas as your mentor

·DO NOT share a house with Gazza

·DO NOT regularly place £30,000 bets at the bookie's

·DO NOT get so drunk that you can't remember the 90 minutes of football you just played

·DO NOT manage Walsall (at any cost)

When it comes to the highs and lows of professional football Merse has probably experienced as many as anyone in the English game!!! Merse is coming to the Irish Centre Birmingham to share these hilarious experiences with you in what will be an unmissable night of entertainment!
