An evening with Dr Andrew Tatarsky: Harm reduction & psychotherapy

Aug 27 2017 18:30 - 20:30

The Melting Pot, (located on fourth floor), EH2 2PR Edinburgh

Join us you beautiful beings!!

Dr. Andrew Tatarsky, the founder and director of the Centre for Optimal Living, is a clinical psychologist, program director, trainer, author and advocate with over 35 years’ experience in the addiction and mental health field. He has dedicated his career to improving treatment by giving patients the individualised, evidence-based care that they want and deserve.

To that end, Dr. Tatarsky has developed Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, an innovative and effective approach to the treatment of addictive and risky behaviours. This approach is described in his ground-breaking book, Harm Reduction Psychotherapy: A New Treatment for Drug and Alcohol Problems, and in a series of professional papers and book chapters. The Center for Optimal Living, with its team of twelve dedicated clinicians, is the only private treatment centre that offers this unique form of therapy.

He will be giving an overview of the psychobiosoical process model for understanding problematic behaviour and the Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy approach. As always there will be time for discussion at the end.

We hope to see you on the night ...
a chance for you to 'meet the others' !
