Touching Bass and Eat Ethio bring you a supper gathering of food and music, centred around Helina Tesega’s nourishing Ethiopian cooking. For this evening, she has curated a special, summery vegetarian and vegan-friendly menu.
Guests will be transported right into Helina’s mum’s kitchen in the Rift Valley of Ethiopia, starting with a traditional coffee ceremony with frankincense and myrrh to set the tone for the evening.
Eat Ethio follow that with a plethora of rich flavours: from Helina’s mother’s classic Berberé Spiced Wot (stew), alongside wild and foraged herb-focused seasonal vegetable sides; all prepared lovingly and served with the infamously healthy, fermented and gluten-free teff Injera. The dessert will be a little surprise, ironically, inspired by a non-dessert eating culture.
Helina’s homemade herbal infused drinks (non-alcoholic options available) will be on offer at the bar. A perfect food pairing for those that wish to delve deeper into the full experience of Eat Ethio.
