Step into the magical world of nature with Family Forest School, a unique educational experience designed by Forest Fusion! Set in the enchanting surroundings of Radford Park, aimed at 4+ years, this session promises a morning filled with discovery, learning, and fun for the Home Ed family.
On June 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM, pack your curiosity and join us for a journey that will ignite the imaginations of both children and adults alike. Immerse yourself in hands-on activities that explore the wonders of the forest, as we teach valuable lessons about the environment, sustainability, and teamwork.
We will have a range of provocations and activities for us to all explore, and most are open-ended and adaptable for age. Examples include mud kitchen, whittling, nature crafts/weaving, leaf bashing on our fabric piece to take home, making our own clay trinket dish and imprint with nature such as a fern leaf, bird watching, sensory drawing and journalling, and maybe even a mini sound bath if time to end our session! We will be facilitating and guiding these provocations but adults are solely responsible for their dependents throughout. (Sadly we cannot light fires or teach children how to use a fire starter etc in this particular park.) Please remember each child must be supervised by their adult throughout, who is solely responsible for their safety. We do have a slope near our patch, and streams below. They can all be accessed safely if you wish to explore independently, and there is a much safer route than falling down the sloping hill! Adults are responsible for supervision of their dependents. Please take care - uneven terrain!

Lyndsey, a seasoned educator created Forest Fusion after a very successful international career working in educational leadership. Lyndsey’s varied background includes New Zealand, Australia, United States, United Kingdom and International Baccalaureate educational systems along with teaching members of a Royal Family. She has trained teachers at various universities abroad, educated governors on boards, led CPD sessions for educators and ran workshops for parents and wider communities such as professional networking groups. Lyndsey’s extensive teaching experience spans various countries and cultural contexts, showcasing her passion for Early and Primary Years development.
She studied ‘Visible Thinking’ at Harvard University and often applies this in her learning spaces and well-being sessions. Beyond teaching, she excels in leadership, spearheading initiatives for inclusive and innovative learning environments, emphasising her dedication to shaping educational paradigms. Lyndsey has herself experienced trauma, witnessing several failures within different systems and wanted to educate and support people to prioritise their learning and well-being. Life is short, Lyndsey realises that time is the most valuable commodity. Lyndsey wanted to MAKE time. She wanted to use her experience and qualifications to help people to embrace life, learning and inner well-being.
Forest Fusion promotes well-being, self care and academic learning. We help people to feel empowered, prioritising time for themselves, their families, friends and colleagues. We offer a variety of well-being workshops and educational experiences whilst collaborating with the local community. We lead different types of training, lessons and workshop sessions to further assist in both academic development and well-being.
