Join American Jazz Vocalist Amber Weekes, as she performs songs from the great American Songbook, Compositions of Oscar Brown, Jr., and interprets songs made popular by vocalists such as Peggy Lee, Nancy Wilson, and Lena Horne. Accompanied by our very own AlexWebb and this trio.

Her music had been featured worldwide and here, in the UK. Amber’s debut performance in the UK is here at the Hampstead Jazz Club. During her performances, she will share selections from all of her non-seasonal recordings, including
    her Spring of 2023 release.

    AMBER WEEKES
Recording artist, Amber Weekes, raised in Los Angeles, says she was “born singing” in her parents’ musical household. At four, she stepped onto her first stage, the living room coffeetable in her childhood home. The daughter of singers from Harlem, Weekes’ home oozed with the sounds of Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Barbara Streisand, Diahann Carroll, The Beatles, Leontyne Price, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Motown.

Generations earlier, her grandparents, Wilfred and Nettie Weekes, served musical giants Lena Horne, Duke Ellington, Billy Strahorn and many others inside Weekes’ Luncheonette in the Sugar Hill section of Harlem. These famous patrons left their musical mark on the family. It was just a matter of time that Weekes would step into and fully claim her musical inheritance.

Weekes has produced four albums in her career, including the promotional recording of “Round Midnight” produced by Trevor Ware and Louis Van Taylor in 2002; the market release of “Pure Imagination,” produced by Trevor Ware, Mark Cargill and Kenny Sara, and executive producer Amber Weekes in 2019; the market release of “The Gathering,” a
Christmas album produced by Mark Cargill and executive producer Amber Weekes in 2020, which was in the top 25 of the Roots Music 2020 Christmas albums chart and top 10 for Christmas jazz albums; the release of “My Romance – A Special Valentine,” (EP), in 2021; and “Round Midnight Re-imagined,” produced by Mark Cargill, and executive producer

Amber Weekes in May 2021, and is currently working on a new album scheduled for release in the Spring of 2023.
