Aged 18-25 and want a new job? Join the Fastlaners FREE employability and personal development programme

This months Fastlaners programme with consist of 5 days of insight, personal development and skills building workshops that are all designed to aid you in finding your next job and meaninful employment.

The programme consists of a combination of employability skills workshops, personal development sessions and opportunities to gain an insight into the world of work through visits to a number of London-based employers. Over the course of the programme we will have sessions on topics such as CV writing, interview skills, personal branding, networking skills, among many others.

From Monday 20th May to Friday 25th May 2019 in London, you will: 

• Work out what career you would love and how to get there. 
• Gain professional, constructive feedback on your CV and job applications. 
• Get confident at networking, with real opportunities to meet employers. 
• Find out about entrepreneurship and self-employment 
• Learn techniques and tools to keep motivated and stay resilient. 
• Meet other young adults and overcome challenges together. 
• Meet and learn from representatives of: Birkbeck University, Comic Relief and Milkround, among others. 

We'd love to hear from you. You can be unemployed or already in work, as long as you're 18-25, want a job that means something to you and can commit to the 5 day programme from Monday 20th May to Friday 25th May.

What happens after the programme?

After the end of the 5 day programme we remain committed to supporting participants into their next job and achieve this by offering the following:

• Six months of one-to-one job support from the Fastlaners Programme Manager, including regular meetings/phone calls and optional drop-ins.
• Opportunities to access mentoring through our speed mentoring events, or through 1:1 peer mentoring if participants are able to commit to the 6 month process.

Programme Eligibility

To be eligible to join the programme, young people must meet the following criteria:

• Be between the ages of 18 and 25.
• Live in London and able to travel around London* (mostly zone 1 and 2)
• Unemployed, or working a zero hours contract and less than 16 hours per week.
• Not in full time education (Exceptions can be made if participants are in their final year of education or are able to commit to the full-length of the programme)

Contributions to travel expenses are available.
