Description
A Place To Rest is a space is for those who would like to give themselves permission to press pause and rest to restore the body and feel more down regulation in the nervous system. A place for you to come, lie down and receive the deep rest medicine of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) and Crystal Singing Bowl frequencies.
The combination of Yoga Nidra and Therapeutic Sound calms the mind and regulates the nervous system, allowing the body to fully rest and restore while the listener enters a dream-like state. Nothing is expected of you in the space, it's an opportunity for you to feel nourished and resourced.
Yoga Nidra is an ancient Yogic sleep tool originating in India that's rooted in the practice of Tantra. In Tantrism we attune to our aliveness and truest nature and Yoga Nidra is born out of this.
In Yoga Nidra the body sleeps but the mind remains awake as we follow the voice on a guided journey throughout the body. Focusing on the breath and using visualisation and body sensing to enter into changing states of consciousness, we can access a deeply silent, formless place beyond the body where all resistance ceases. Thoughts and emotions may arise and pass but through this practice we can learn how to respond rather than react to life.
What to expect
A nurturing space where you will get to lie down, practice Yoga Nidra (a deeply relaxing yogic sleep practice) and receive a short crystal bowl sound bath to complete. We will always have a check in at the beginning and the end in the chat box to share with the group how we are feeling in one or two words. If you can't attend in person but would like to receive the practice to do at a later time then the sessions will be recorded and available to listen to for at least a week after the event is complete.
Looking forward to resting together : )
