    Description

What does Christmas mean to you?

Join The Sunday Boys for an evening of music, singing and reflection as they team up with Anglican priest, poet, writer and broadcaster Rachel Mann to explore their very own take on the festive period and what Christmas means to us. Re-imagining the traditional nine lessons and carols, The Sunday Boys embark on a queer exploration of the values and personal experience of Christmas.

The evening will feature a varied and exciting programme of original composition and arrangements such as; Hope There’s Someone by Anthony and the Johnsons, No man is an Island by Chris Hutchings and the body is a choir room by Michael Betteridge. The festivities will be thoughtfully articulated with readings from Rachel Mann and an array of special guests.

The Sunday Boys are Manchester’s male voice sensation, an unauditioned, inclusive male voice choir with a majority gay identifying membership that rehearse on Sunday evenings in central Manchester.

    Organiser

The Sunday Boys was started by Michael Betteridge in January 2016 to give Manchester LGBTQ+ low voices in the city to socialise and learn to sing.

The Sunday Boys is open to any one that has a low voice and wants to sing in an inclusive and friendly environment.
