The Sunday Boys’ annual A Very Queer Christmas returns this December with more of their unique brand of choral singing, storytelling and festive reflection.

Now a staple in the queer Christmas calendar, this special concert sees the choir creatively exploring the role darkness and light plays in our lives in during the festive period through a queer perspective.

We’ll explore a time of year that can be as joyous as it is difficult as we take you on a queer festive journey, through music, singing, joy and spoken word.

This special concert sees the world premiere of a new Christmas carol titled The Bells by Kerry Andrew, and exciting arrangements such as In the Bleak Midwinter, The Rose, Wonders in the Sky, Solstice Carol, White Christmas, We Need a Little Christmas, alongside hits from the likes of Kate Bush and George Michael. The evening will be framed by original texts by Mark Croasdale.

The Sunday Boys are an LGBTQ+ low voiced choir based in the heart of Manchester. Formed in 2016 by Artistic Director Michael Betteridge, the choir has performed at prestigious gigs in the city and beyond and recently won 3 Making Music awards and was shortlisted for the BBC Radio Manchester Make a Difference Awards.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
