Description
International Women’s Day, is celebrated on 8th March each year. It is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
In celebration of International Women's Day 2017, Charmaine Pollard will be offering a FREE poetry therapy workshop with a particular focus on confidence and self acceptance.
We will use poems written by women.
Come along to this workshop and utilise poetry and expressive writing as a tool for healing, self discovery and self acceptance.
This workshop is experiential and open to everyone, no prior knowledge of poetry or expressive writing is required, just a willingness to share, reflect and experiment with words.
You especially benefit when you share your writing. Hearing your words validated by others can be a powerful learning experience and can lead to deeper levels of understanding and increased confidence. However, you always decide what you wish to share.
Charmaine Pollard is a counsellor, life coach and certified poetry therapist with over 16 years' experience of working with diverse communities from social, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
Over the past ten years she has facilitated several personal development and poetry therapy groups and workshops in various settings. She is passionate about how words can be used to bring about healing and transformation.
Poetry Therapy is the intentional use of poetry and other forms of literature for healing and personal growth. Research over the last 30 years has found links between writing, health and wellbeing.
CPD certificates are provided for those attending the workshop for continuing professional development (CPD) purposes.
Come and join us and celebrate International Women's Day 2017.
