Description

echo present 'A Night of Snow' - a performance of songs for winter and advent from across the world. With music represented from six continents, echo sing music by Britten, Palestrina, and Poulenc, alongside traditional songs from Nigeria, Spain, and America. An unaccompanied concert in the glorious acoustics of St. Michael's in Southampton city centre, this is the group's first winter performance and promises to be a very special evening.

echo met while working together through Genesis Sixteen, the prestigious young artists scheme run by The Sixteen. The group aims to explore the full range of ensemble singing, performing music rooted in the Western classical tradition yet inspired by improvisation, folk song and spoken word. Recent performances include a collaboration with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at St. John's Smith's Square, and echo have been chosen as one of the Chiltern Arts Festival young artists for 2018.
