Organiser

CORE is a global collaboration of top economists and researchers who come together to produce a new introduction to economics for students that will change how people think and talk about the economy and how it could be made to work better for all. Based on volunteer contributions by dozens of authors and hundreds of other contributors from around the world CORE is developing free open access ebooks and other teaching and learning materials, all available on the CORE website. These resources attempt to equip students to address today’s pressing problems – inequality, climate change, innovation, financial instability – by mastering the conceptual and quantitative tools of contemporary economics. Now more than 165 000 students each year are taught using CORE, in over 500 universities in 72 countries, and in five languages, saving them millions in costly textbooks.
