Whether he's repeatedly banging his tin helmet in time to wartime songs, making a sheer mockery of morris dancing or simply running amok amongst the audience Pat Cahill is proud to represent the daft faction of the comedy scene. Pat's style of “controlled silliness” has led to multiple TV and radio appearances. and 2016 saw him nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
"There's a touch of the Sean Locks about Cahill" The List “Wonderfully weird” The Guardian “True star quality” Evening Standard
★★★★★ Shortcom ★★★★★ Edfestmag ★★★★ The Skinny ★★★★ Fest
Steve Gribbin is a guitar totin, politician smotin', small and burly, short and curly, pumped up, loved up, finger pickin', arse kickin musical comedy imp! Steve combines razor sharp lyrics with tunes that put their foot in the door of your mind and refuse to leave.
"Sharp observations and up-to-the-minute political asides" The Scotsman
And your compere for the evening is Blackburn's former civil servant Tez Ilyas. Within three years he had written his first hour long show - TEZ Talks. Based on the popular TED Talks the show dispelled myths about Islam in general but particularly about British Muslims. Despite the somewhat sombre subject matter Ilyas worked his comedic magic and the show stormed the Edinburgh Fringe, sold out an extended run at a prestigious London theatre and was turned into a popular series by Radio 4!
Tez has now made numerous TV appearances in addition to creating and performing in comedy shorts for both the BBC and Sky. 2017 sees Tez take his first UK tour on the road.
“Blackburn-born Ilyas has a slickness more reminiscent of US comics, and the gags to back it up, though his most prized asset could yet be his bold, subversive streak” The Guardian
"Smart, subversive comedy with pin-sharp observations." The Herald
